“Streetside is simply the best arts education program I've seen in my years as a teacher and administrator.” |
STREETSIDE AFTER SCHOOL
At the end of each program, students invite their families and friends to a Sharing Day, during which they perform their stories or screen their short movies, or digital stories.
STREETSIDE'S COMMUNITY PROGRAMS:Story Train (K–5th grade) combines storytelling, theater, and visual arts to make literacy fun in afterschool programs. Visual Voices (4th–5th grade) combines photography, storytelling, and writing. In afterschool programs, students bring their stories to life using Streetside's mobile media labs to create digital stories. Stories Out Loud (6th–8th grade) combines storytelling, theater, and creative writing to build middle school students’ literacy skills. Stories In Motion (6th–8th grade) helps youth create digital stories. Writing, visual, and media arts give students powerful tools for telling their stories.
Our afterschool workshops vary from a one-session special program to 16 sessions, depending on the needs of our partners. Interested in bringing Streetside Community Programs to your school or community center? Contact us today!
